TENCEL eucalyptus bedding leans fluid and sleek, but they aren't slippery like satin or silk. TENCEL™ Lyocell has an exceptionally smooth sateen weave that feels like an ultra-soft, drapeable, cloud-like blend of fine cotton and silk. It lacks the rigid structure of crisp cotton percale, instead conforming comfortably to your body.
Olive + Crate’s TENCEL™ bedding is a genuine 300 Thread Count. While cotton marketing has trained US buyers to look for inflated 800+ thread counts, TENCEL™ fibers are naturally much finer and smoother. A 300 thread count in premium Lyocell actually provides a softer, more breathable, and more durable sheet than a 1000-thread-count cheap cotton blend
The fitted sheet features extra-deep 18-inch pockets (16-inch for Twin XL/Full) and is equipped with heavy-duty diagonal corner elastic anchor bands. This guarantees the sheet stays anchored securely under the mattress, even if you toss and turn or use an adjustable smart base.
The pillowcases feature a clean envelope closure design, which hides the pillow tag and prevents the pillow from slipping out. Instead of just feeling "cool to the touch" for five minutes, it continuously pulls sweat away from the body and allows it to evaporate, keeping your sleep environment perfectly dry and preventing clammy wakeups.
The ice cold hand feel you are thinking of that some famous brands promote is nothing more than Nylon and Spandex. It is a synthetic product that does not breath and will have you gasping for air within 10 minutes. Care, Laundering and the Winkle Factor
TENCEL™ fibers are actually stronger than cotton when wet. Olive + Crate’s fabric is rigorously tested to a 20,000 rub pilling resistance scale (double the industry standard). To maximize their lifespan, wash them in cool water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat.
Like all genuine natural plant fibers, some wrinkling is normal. However, because the fabric drapes so fluidly, minor wrinkles smooth out naturally once laid flat on the bed. Fold immediately after drying or put straight on the bed.
We do not recommend it, softeners leave a chemical coating that ruins the natural moisture-wicking properties of the eucalyptus
Do not use bleach. Bleach will degrade the fibers and possibly affect the color.
