Fabric & Materials

Is it real silk or satin?

It's real silk. Every piece is 22 momme, 6A grade mulberry silk, not polyester satin. Satin is a weave that's usually made from polyester, while mulberry silk is a natural fiber.

What does silver ion treated mean?

The silk is treated with silver ion to help it resist odor and stay fresh between washes. It's a property of the fabric, not a skin or health treatment.

What does 22 momme mean?

Momme is how silk is weighed, the way GSM is used for cotton. A higher momme means more silk in the fabric. 22 momme is heavier and more substantial than the 16 to 19 momme silk common in lower-priced products.

What does 6A grade mean?

Mulberry silk is graded by fiber length and evenness, and 6A is the top grade, with the longest, most even fibers.

Care Instructions

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in cold water with a pH-neutral silk detergent. Don't wring, bleach or tumble dry. Gently press out excess water and lay flat to dry in the shade.

Certifications

Is the silk certified?

Yes. The silk of the mask and scrunchie is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, which means it has been independently tested for harmful substances.

Product Details

What's in the set?

A 3 inch silk scrunchie, a padded silk sleep mask and a silk makeup band, all in 22 momme, 6A grade mulberry silk, in a three-compartment magnetic gift box with a thank-you card.

What is the makeup band for?

It keeps hair off your face while you cleanse, moisturize or do your makeup.

How is a silk scrunchie different from a hair tie?

It's soft silk rather than an ordinary elastic hair tie. It holds a loose bun or ponytail through the day and overnight, and comes out easily.

Is the mask the same as the Large Silk Sleep Mask?

Yes. It's the same large padded silk mask, 27.2 inches long with a nose cut-out, viscose from bamboo padding and an adjustable hook-and-loop strap.

Can I mix colors across the pieces?

No. All three pieces in a set come in the color you choose.
