If you’ve recently started using eucalyptus sheets, you’re probably wondering why you didn’t make the change sooner. However, another question that might be on your mind is, “How do you wash and take care of eucalyptus bedsheets?” Surely, there must be some special rules for such an exceptional product. Well, there are some special rules, but not as many as you’d expect. Either way, this blog post will cover the best ways to care for them.
How To Wash Them
Let’s start by talking about how often you should wash your sheets. Ideally, you should clean them every week or so, especially if you have allergies. Even though eucalyptus sheets are hypoallergenic, if you want the best results from them, you’ll need to keep up with the washing schedule. If your busy lifestyle makes that impossible, you should buy some extra eucalyptus sheet sets instead. Check out our selection if that’s the route you end up taking.
Once the time comes to wash them, you’ll want to ensure that you are as gentle on them as possible. That means you shouldn’t use any bleach, and you need to run them in a light wash with none of your other clothes or blankets. Also, extreme heat is not great for eucalyptus, so run it on the coldest cycle you can.
How To Dry Them
When drying them, you’ll want to avoid heat if at all possible. Some dryers have a low heat setting, but make sure you also put it on a tumble dry to prevent any unnecessary roughness. If that’s not an option for you, try hanging them up to dry instead. Doing this indoors is the better option. That way, you won’t have to worry about outdoor allergens in your freshly cleaned sheets.
How To Store Them
If you have multiple sets of sheets, you’ll have to find a place to store them until you need them again. Most closets will do as long as they’re not in direct sunlight or a damp environment. However, it’s also not a bad idea to put them in a bag. That way, you don’t find them covered in dust when you pull them out to put on your bed. That would defeat the purpose of cleaning before storing them in the first place.
Now that you know how to wash and take care of eucalyptus bedsheets properly, you can rest easy, knowing that the quality of your sheets will remain high for a while. No longer will you need to replace them after only a couple of years.
